What is the space rent?

Rent is $236 a month. You will not find a more affordable rate for the quality of living in Union County and most of Northeastern Oregon. To compare Elgin Mobile Home Park with other local manufactured communities in the area, follow this link.

Do you take RVs?

Yes! We offer RV spaces for the low price of $10 a night and $295 a month. We take RVs by appointment on a one-week minimum stay. Water, sewer, garbage and cable TV service is included in our rent. Keep in mind, however, that we are not a traditional overnight RV park and we don’t offer showers or laundry facilities.

Do you have homes for sale?

At any given time, there’s usually a home or two for sale in Elgin Mobile Home Park. If you’re looking for a new home, be sure to check out what’s available from local dealers from our links on the Find a Home page. How do I get to Elgin Mobile Home Park?

If you’re coming from Interstate 84, take Exit 261 at La Grande. Head east on Oregon Highway 82/Island Avenue for just 0.2 miles. Then when you get to Island City, take a left at North McAlister Road and take Highway 82 — also known as the Wallowa Lake Highway — 17 miles to Elgin. When you arrive in the city, take a left at Division Street and drive about six blocks west. Take a right and head north on Carolyn Terrace for about five blocks. Elgin Mobile Home Park will be on your left.

Is there any chance your park will close?

No, and we back it up. If you happen purchase a new home through The Foster Group you will receive a no-closure guarantee. If we close the park during your lifetime, we will buy your home back at the assessed value, or pay to have it moved and set up in any community in Oregon. Your choice. Guaranteed in writing. Of course, it’s easy to make this promise because we’re never going to close this community.

What size homes can you accommodate?

Elgin Mobile Home Park allows mostly singlewide manufactured homes, but we currently have one doublewide space available. We also allow RVs on a short-term basis. There are several home sellers in Eastern Oregon that provide the latest line of new and custom homes.

Do you allow pets?

Pets are allowed under limited conditions. You may have a small dog under 25 pounds, but no larger. This rule is enforced without exception. Cats are welcome. Prrrrr.

If I apply for a space, do you run a credit check?

Yes. Prospective residents must fill out an application. We look for residents with good credit, but you don’t necessarily have to have perfect credit.
